The course gives the participants the skills and courage to act in life-threatening emergency situations. The skills taught in the course include:
- Scene assessment
- Use of protective equipment
- Primary assessment
- CPR
- Use of a defibrillator
- Helping an adult who is choking
- Stopping major bleeding
- Treatment of shock
- First aid for spinal cord injuries
- Customer-specific additional parts / emphasis
